Winter is slowly coming to an end, higher temperatures are coming, and it’s time for changing winter tires. However, spring brings more than just that for vehicle owners. We need to inspect and prepare the vehicle for different driving conditions. What awaits vehicle owners?
Cleaning
Driving in winter conditions can damage the vehicle more than usual. This is due to low temperatures, their fluctuations, sand on the road, and salt, which accelerates the corrosion of vehicle components. The first and most important task for vehicle owners in spring is cleaning.
It is best to leave it to professionals in car washes. If we decide to clean it ourselves, we should do it carefully and thoroughly. Let’s not forget the undercarriage and areas around the wheels. After cleaning, we inspect the bodywork and assess any damage.
We also clean all glass surfaces, and we clean the windshield from the inside as well. Microfiber cloths will come in handy for this purpose. We clean the window surfaces at least twice, first roughly, and then wipe off any remnants from the first wash. We thoroughly clean the lights, license plates, and other important markings on the vehicle.
Vehicle Inspection
In addition to inspecting the bodywork, we check the operation of lights, turn signals, and the battery charge. We check the tightness of the wheel bolts and tidy up the trunk. Unnecessary clutter is removed, and we can also put away chains and snow shovels in the garage. We remove the ski rack from the roof. A lighter vehicle will consume less fuel.
We also check the fluid levels in the engine (oil, …). We check the windshield wipers and replace them if necessary.
Tire Change
After March 15th, we replace winter tires with summer ones, so we check their tread, and regularly check the pressure. However, if you rent a vehicle from Agio.si, all of the mentioned work is unnecessary. Our vehicles are practically new, safe, regularly inspected, and reliable.
