- Visit the Soča Valley: The valley of the world-famous Soča River, an alpine river of emerald green color, offers many opportunities for active holidays. - Climbing Triglav: Slovenia’s highest mountain, at 2,863 m, is also the highest peak in the Southern Limestone Alps. Tip: also visit two remnants of glaciers that you can explore below Triglav (Julian Alps) and Skuta (Kamniško-Savinjske Alps). - Explore many castles: Slovenia is dotted with many castles. According to the number of inhabitants, Slovenia is one of the countries with the most castles, right after the Czech Republic and Wales.
